This Friday, March 2nd, from 7pm to 11pm at the Newport Harbor Elks Lodge, we will carry on a very fun, once-a-year tradition. Many musician friends of mine from 3 different bands from “long ago”, “The Grateful Dads”, “Rock Lobster”, and “The Trippers”, will have our annual musical reunion this Friday evening, performing many classic songs from “our younger years” (let’s just say there will be an abundance of those great songs from the ’60’s). Those of you who have attended our previous reunion performances know how much fun we have, and how infectious that fun is! I hope you can join us!! By the way, the reunion continues this Saturday, March 3rd, at the Village Inn!

The Elks Lodges are for “Elks Members and Their Guests Only”, so as an Elks member myself, my friends are welcome at all Elks Lodges as my guests when I’m performing. If you would like to come join us for this performance, please send me an email or give me a call, so I can assure that the names of all in your party are on the Guest List at the door. The Newport Harbor Elks Lodge has a great dance floor, and the staff and the members are all very friendly, and they warmly welcome guests. The food is very good, and as is the case with drinks, very reasonably priced. While it’s not required, I highly recommend phoning ahead and making reservations, in order to guarantee a “table with a good location near the music”.
Please note: For the past several months, it’s been a piece of cake getting to the Newport Harbor Elks Lodge: once you’ve turned onto Via Lido from Newport Blvd, simply make a left turn at Via Oporto (the 1st street on the left), and you will see the Elks Lodge parking lot on your right as you come to the end of Via Oporto. However, just in case Via Oporto is closed due to the occasional construction in the area, simply make a u-turn at Via Oporto, and head back towards Newport Blvd. Just as you near the stop light at Newport Blvd (literally about 5 feet away), make a right turn onto Central Avenue (presently there’s no street sign), and the Elks Lodge will be ahead on the right, at the end of Central Avenue.
