DESCRIPTION:Rick Sherman (musician and vocalist friends are welcome to sit in)\nat the NEWPORT HARBOR ELKS LODGE\n3456 Via Oporto\, Newport Beach 92663\nPlease note: Via Oporto is now closed off due to the major construction being done on that street. I’ve been advised that the best route to the Lodge is to take Newport Blvd to 32nd street\, turn left on 32nd street\, to a left on Lafayette\, to a quick left onto Via Lido. Stay on Via Lido\, and just before you get to the stop light at Newport Blvd\, turn right onto Central Avenue (a small street on the right\, literally just 5 feet before you get to Newport Blvd; presently there is no street sign there)\, and that will take you to the Elks Lodge (you will see it on your right as you approach the end of Central Avenue).\n(949) 673-6110 (reservations for dinner highly recommended; see details below)\nThe Elks Lodges are for “Elks Members & Their Guests Only”\, so as an Elks member myself\, my friends are welcome at all Elks Lodges as my guests when I’m performing. If you would like to come join me for this performance\, please send me an email\, or give me a call\, so I can assure that the names of all in your party are on the Guest List at the door. The Newport Harbor Elks Lodge has a great dance floor\, and the staff and the members are all very friendly\, and they warmly welcome guests. The food is very good\, and as is the case with drinks\, very reasonably priced. I expect that there will be a large turnout for this Friday\, as we are celebrating the retirement of Carolyn Richardson\, beloved long-time Elks bartender. While it’s not required\, I highly recommend phoning ahead and making reservations\, in order to guarantee a “table with a good location near the music”.
