DESCRIPTION:THE 29TH ANNUAL BALBOA ISLAND PARADE & AFTER PARTY!!!\nSUNDAY\, JUNE 2nd\, THE RICK SHERMAN DUO starts performing at 10:00 AM; 10:45 AM-the bridge closes; 11 AM-The Parade Starts; After Party\, after the Parade (DUH!!!) The theme of the Parade this year is”BALBOA ISLAND IN PARADISE – A TRIBUTE TO JIMMY BUFFET”. Naturally\, we will be performing many of the classic songs by the late\, great Jimmy Buffet!! \nThe Rick Sherman Duo will be up on the Grandstand Stage to help with the festivities of one of the world’s greatest little parades! The Grandstand Stage is next to Shanghai Pine Gardens Restaurant\, at the intersection of Balboa Ave. and Marine Avenue (the main street of Balboa Island\, also known as “the south end of Jamboree Road”). The Rick Sherman Duo start performing at 10:00am\, the bridge closes at 10:45am\, and the parade starts at 11:00am. This is a great slice of Americana\, and a fun day outdoors for the entire family! Add to the festivities by wearing your favorite Jimmy Buffet/style clothes (Parrot Head/Cheeseburger shirts and hats). Also\, please note that immediately after the parade (roughly anytime between 12:45pm to 1:45pm)\, there will be a fun Street After-Party\, halfway between the Fire Station and the Village Inn\, with the great band “Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band”!

Playing a wide variety of music\, Rick takes requests! \nThe Italian cuisine by Chef Francisco is excellent (matching the music\, of course :-) \nVittorio’s Restaurant is at 5921 Warner Avenue\, Huntington Beach\, CA 92649. In the shopping center at the Northwest corner of the intersection of Warner Avenue & Springdale\, between Rite Aid and Petco. Please note: also in the same shopping center is The Beef Palace\, AND in the same shopping center parking lot\, an Arco gas station with the lowest gas prices I’ve found in OC.\nVittorio’s phone number is (714) 846-9606 (reservations “in the piano room” are not required but recommended.
